DESCRIPTION:Faculty of Economics and Business\, University of Kragujevac | Kragujevac\, Serbia \n\n\n\nThe Academy of Management Community Accelerator Program (CAP)\, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business\, University of Kragujevac\, invites scholars from the Western Balkans to an interactive workshop focused on navigating the international publication process and developing research for leading management journals. \n\n\n\nLed by Professor Joanna Campbell\, University of Cincinnati\, and Professor Shad Morris\, BYU Marriott School of Business and Director of the Whitmore Global Business Center\, both former Associate Editors of the Academy of Management Review (AMR)\, the workshop will combine insights into the publishing process with practical guidance on developing stronger theoretical contributions and positioning research originating in the Western Balkans for an international scholarly audience. \n\n\n\nThe program will address four interconnected areas: \n\n\n\n\nAnatomy of a Strong Management Paper – understanding the AOM journal portfolio\, what editors and reviewers look for\, writing a compelling introduction and contribution statement\, and avoiding common reasons for rejection.\n\n\n\nPublishing Theory in Management – exploring what makes a strong conceptual or theory paper\, why theory matters\, where theoretical ideas come from\, and opportunities for publishing theory-focused research.\n\n\n\nTurning Context into Contribution – examining how research grounded in Serbia and the wider Western Balkans can use its distinctive context to generate theoretically meaningful contributions.\n\n\n\nInteractive Roundtables – an opportunity for participants to pitch research ideas\, discuss publication challenges\, and receive feedback from the workshop facilitators.\n\n\n\n\nThe workshop is designed for researchers at different stages of their academic careers who want to strengthen their understanding of the international publishing landscape and develop a more strategic approach to publishing in high-quality management journals. While there is strong evidence of mental health concerns among students\, there are also distinct challenges facing staff and especially academic workers: excessive workloads\, job insecurity\, and managerial and regulatory burdens can all lead to burnout\, stress\, and mental health concerns in academia. At the same time\, scholars have advocated for more caring conditions and practices in universities as central to understanding\, supporting\, and strengthening wellbeing.  The inaugural Asia-Pacific Academic Mental Health Symposium will create a dedicated and supportive space for sharing new research\, insights\, and practices that focus specifically on mental health in academia. DESCRIPTION:Presented in collaboration with AOM’s Community Accelerator Program\, this Spanish-language webinar hosted by the Laboratorio Internacional en Ciencias de la Gestión Pública presents a critical examination of artificial intelligence (AI) in organizations from the perspective of Organization Studies (OS). It approaches AI as a socio-technical technology that reshapes organizational capabilities\, routines\, control regimes\, employment relations\, decision-making rationalities\, and power relations. \n\n\n\nThe discussion will address key issues such as the implications of AI for work\, algorithmic management\, AI as an organizational capability\, power\, inequality\, and strategic tensions. DESCRIPTION:The Western Australia HR and OB/OP Oasis (WAHOO) Research Conference aims to bring together Organizational Behavior (OB)\, Organizational Psychology (OP)\, and Human Resource (HR) scholars from across Western Australia to create a vibrant and enduring scholarly community—a collegial ‘oasis’ for collaboration and renewal. This two-day collaborative event will be co-hosted by the Future of Work Institute (FOWI) and the School of Management and Marketing (SOMM) at Curtin University\, University of Western Australia (UWA)\, and Edith Cowan University (ECU). \n\n\n\nPerth is the largest and most geographically isolated capital city in the world\, and as such faces unique challenges in fostering scholarly exchanges. The distance from major academic hubs and conferences\, coupled with impractical differences in time zone\, often limits opportunities for in-person and virtual collaboration\, mentoring\, and sustained engagement with national and international research communities. Due to Perth’s isolation\, national and international travel is often cost prohibitive for many academics who lack sufficient financial support from their institutions. WAHOO seeks to address the opportunity challenges faced by our regional academics by creating an accessible\, collegial platform for researchers to share expertise\, explore collaboration opportunities\, and develop joint projects\, particularly in competitive national and international grant writing and publication development.

DESCRIPTION:The Academy of Management’s Community Accelerator Program (CAP) is pleased to launch The Silk Road Initiative\, a new effort designed to foster deeper scholarly engagement with emerging academic communities along the historic Silk Road corridor. \n\n\n\nAbout the Workshop\n\n\n\nThis in-person\, two-day workshop will be held at Narkhoz University and KIMEP University\, bringing together editors from all Academy of Management journals along with scholars and doctoral students from across Central Asia. The workshop aims to serve as a platform for knowledge exchange\, capacity building\, and the elevation of management research from and about the region. \n\n\n\nWorkshop Program\n\n\n\n\n28 May (Afternoon) – Plenary Session at Narkhoz UniversityAn open plenary featuring editors from participating AOM journals. DESCRIPTION:Emerging Research Opportunities and Advances in AI-Driven Research Methods\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Early-Career Winter Workshop is a collaborative initiative organized through the Academy of Management’s (AOM) Community Accelerator Program (CAP)\, in partnership with the Consortium for the Advancement of Research Methods and Analysis (CARMA) and the Turkish Academy of Management (TAOM). Hosted by Başkent University in Ankara\, this three-day event is designed to support early-career scholars who seek to strengthen their methodological capabilities\, advance their research trajectories\, and engage with emerging developments in AI-driven research methods. \n\n\n\nThe workshop brings together distinguished scholars and experienced methodologists from CARMA and AOM communities to provide hands-on training\, conceptual guidance\, and mentoring. Through a combination of keynote talks\, interactive workshops\, paper-development sessions\, and mentoring circles\, participants will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming management research—from theory building and literature exploration to data analysis\, modeling\, and research transparency. \n\n\n\nThis program reflects AOM’s commitment to fostering global scholarly communities\, expanding access to high-quality methodological training\, and empowering early-career researchers. DESCRIPTION:Course Overview\n\n\n\nThis workshop provides students and early-career academics (professional development) with knowledge\, practical skills\, and experience to understand the scientific and systematic methods to perform literature reviews using Bibliometric and Systematic Review methods. Furthermore\, how the proposed methods could be used to craft and publish theory papers.
