DESCRIPTION:Purpose and Agenda: \n\n\n\nThis idea development workshop (IDW) is primarily geared toward early career researchers (e.g.\, assistant professors and postdoctoral fellows) and PhD students who are interested in publishing in AMR—the highest-ranked journal publishing conceptual and theoretical manuscripts. This IDW is open to anyone though we will give preference to individuals from institutions in Europe. This workshop is designed to help participants develop great ideas that are the foundation for well-crafted manuscripts suitable for submission to AMR. \n\n\n\nThe workshop has two parts. In the first part\, we will provide information about publishing in AMR. The AMRteam will discuss what makes a successful AMR paper\, why papers are rejected\, and how to address the core challenges often seen in rejected papers. \n\n\n\nIn the second part\, we offer roundtable discussions of participants’ ideas for papers to be submitted to AMR. We will match participants with a facilitator such as an Associate Editor or Editorial Board member\, who will discuss and provide feedback on these ideas. SUMMARY:CAP: 3rd AOM Andes Connect Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Andes Connect Workshop is an academic initiative organized by the Academy of Management (AOM)\, as part of its Community Accelerator Program (CAP). This event is designed for doctoral students and early-career academics in the areas of organization and strategy in Chile and Argentina. \n\n\n\nThis intensive program aims to strengthen research capabilities\, build local research communities\, and increase the region’s capacity to produce high-impact research. \n\n\n\nThe workshops are taking place twice a year in Chile and Argentina\, over a period of two to three years\, with the focus on strengthening collaboration between these two countries and extending it to other regions of Latin America. \n\n\n\nThe third workshop will be held at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (Santiago) over two sessions: Monday\, 14 December 2026 (full day)\, and Tuesday\, 15 December 2026 (morning only). It will feature keynote talks by distinguished international scholars alongside interactive workshops designed to foster collaborative research. This edition will also include research presentations by participants\, in keeping with the spirit of the initiative: to encourage the development of organizational and strategy research from and about Latin America. Further details on the program\, format\, and invited speakers will follow in the coming weeks. \n\n\n\nCALL FOR PROPOSALS \n\n\n\nSubmissions. We welcome research summaries at all stages of development\, from early project ideas to recently published work. Summaries may be written in English or Spanish\, must not exceed 400 words\, and are due by 25 October 2026. Please note that some sessions\, including keynote talks\, may be delivered in English if distinguished scholars do not speak Spanish. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpecial track and Best Paper Award: AOM Annual Meeting 2027. This workshops offers a dedicated track for authors preparing papers for submission to the AOM Annual Meeting 2027 in Vienna\, Austria. If you would like your work reviewed with that submission in mind\, please do two things. First\, check the box in the submission system marked “I want to receive feedback for AOM submission.” Second\, if your proposal is accepted for AOM Andes Connect\, send us a complete draft of your paper by November 30\, 2026\, two weeks before the workshop. SUMMARY:CAP: Innovation and Value Pathways in Service Ecosystems
DESCRIPTION:Pre-conference workshops: 29 January 2027 from 10:00–18:00Day 1: 30 January 2027\, from 10:00–18:00Day 2: 31 January 2007 from 9:00 am to 14:00 \n\n\n\n\n\nHospitality and Tourism\, healthcare and wellness\, education & edtech\, retail and e-commerce\, creative industries\, management consulting and also legal services are labour-intensive sectors with multiple actors that significantly affect three levels of analysis – people\, teams & the firm and the planetary eco-system. These industries are faced with multiple challenges: There is an increase in the global burden of depression\, challenges to jobs posed by artificial intelligence\, climate disruptions the world over\, a shift in tourist and consumer expectations and more fragile labour markets. In this context it is vital that the service sector reconsiders its purpose and future direction. What was once seen as a sector defined primarily by service and experience has now become a space where emotional well-being\, tech-savviness\, environmental responsibility and community resilience intersect in profound ways. This international conference has been organized by the Indian School of Hospitality\, in collaboration with the Academy of Management’s Community Accelerator Program (CAP)\, and is to be hosted on the campus of BML Munjal University\, India. SUMMARY:2027 GW-OMT Paper Development Workshop

The agenda will feature panels on publishing and navigating the review process\, along with one-on-one feedback sessions that pair authors with mentors for developmental feedback on their working papers. Through the workshop\, scholars will gain practical strategies for refining their papers\, responding to feedback\, and increasing their chances of receiving an invitation to revise and resubmit. \n\n\n\n\nThe workshop is open to young scholars conducting research on both micro- and macro-level topics within organizations broadly defined.\n\n\n\nThere is no fee to attend\, although participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.\n\n\n\nThe event will close with a reception overlooking the Washington Monument and the National Mall.\n\n\n\n\nFor more information\, contact OMT Division Chair Joel Gehman at jgehman@gwu.edu.

DESCRIPTION:The Asia Academy of Management (AAOM)\, the longest-running academic association of management focused on Asia\, is organizing the second Special Conference\, with an important and timely theme of “Policy\, Purpose\, and Organizational Innovation in Asia.” The event will be held from June 19–23\, 2027\, at Curtin University Colombo in Colombo\, Sri Lanka. \n\n\n\nGovernments are rethinking policy’s role in business development\, organizations face pressure to create value beyond profit\, and technological change is reshaping industries. Asia’s diverse institutional environments offer some of today’s most instructive lessons in organizational innovation.
