SUMMARY:Teaching Community: Curious Educator: Practical Classroom Innovations for Impact – Session 2
DESCRIPTION:The Curious Educator Webinar\n\n\n\nWhat makes a curious educator? And how do we know when to keep refining what works and when to explore something different? \n\n\n\nManagement educators have always adapted and experimented in their classrooms. But AI\, changing student expectations\, new approaches to assessment\, and a rapidly evolving world of work are creating new questions about what and how we teach. The answer isn’t innovation for innovation’s sake. The challenge is recognizing what deserves our curiosity. \n\n\n\nIn this inaugural webinar from MED for the new AOM Teaching Community\, Professors Mairead Brady and Martin Fellenz combine research on curiosity\, experimentation and management education with practical classroom innovation. \n\n\n\nThree educators will take us inside real classroom experiments\, sharing not simply what they tried\, but why they tried it\, how they did it\, what happened\, and what they learned. Together\, we will explore different approaches to AI\, assessment\, student learning and engagement providing ideas participants can question\, adapt or try in their own classrooms. \n\n\n\nWhether you are teaching your first course or have thirty years of experience\, come prepared to think differently about your own practice.ators is that they never stop wanting to do it better. Leave with something that changes how you connect with and educate your students. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Now\n\n\n\n\nSession Hosts\n\n\n\nThis session is co-hosted by Prof Mairead Brady\, Chair of the Management Education and Development Division (2026) and Associate Professor at Trinity College Dublin\, and Prof Martin Fellenz\, Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behaviour at IMD Switzerland. \n\n\n\nMairead and Martin have a strong track record of award-winning work in this space\, winning the MED Division’s Best PDW Award in 2023 and 2026 and the Best MED Symposium Award in 2025\, alongside Martin’s recognition with two EFMD Excellence in Practice Gold Awards and the NAIRTL National Award for Teaching Excellence and Mairead’s Provost Teaching Award from Trinity College Dublin. Together they co-authored The Future of Management Education (2022) with Sabine Hoidn\, bringing both research depth and hands-on classroom experience to this hour. \n\n\n\nTo learn more about the AOM Teaching Community\, visit aom.org/teaching.
