For all these servers, hotel workers, and game operators, the odds of career stability are not good, according to some researchers. <a href=\"https:\/\/substack.com\/home\/post\/p-178934981\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A recent report from RCG Economics<\/a> predicts that 80% to 95% of hospitality jobs will soon be at risk from AI and automation.<\/p>\n<p>These are not even the jobs most vulnerable to AI replacement. <a href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/pdf\/2507.07935\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A recent Microsoft report<\/a> placed interpreters and translators, historians, transportation passenger attendants, sales representatives for service companies, and writers\/authors at the top of a list of the most at-risk professions.<\/p>\n<p>For anyone looking to enter professions susceptible to AI substitution or automation, Academy of Management Scholar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aom.org\/today\/thomas-hutzschenreuter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thomas Hutzschenreuter<\/a> of the Technical University of Munich has simple advice: don\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you are early in your career, you should be aware that the AI wave disrupting many professions and career paths is underway,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019s the most important point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hutzschenreuter has children. He said, \u201cI would forbid them from doing what we call here in Germany vocational training for the banking industry. This includes both junior banking positions such as analysts but also university majors specializing in banking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hutzschenreuter singles out such administrative careers as non-options.
