Academy of Management Member Catherine McDonald is a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Her research explores responsible business conduct in complex environments, and she has conducted fieldwork in Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Africa. Catherine has a Ph.D. from the University of St. Gallen and will be joining SKEMA Business School in Paris as an assistant professor in August 2026. Previously, Catherine was a visiting fellow at Harvard University and worked with international organizations including the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross in Kosovo, New York, and Geneva.
