Academy of Management Scholar Thomas Hutzschenreuter of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) School of Management serves as associate dean of international alliances. Before joining TUM, from 2002 to 2015, he taught at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management. Prior to that, he was a professor at Boston University, a visiting scholar at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Campaign, Florida International University, and the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business.
Hutzschenreuter is a board member of the Offshoring Research Network, a global research community. He has experience in designing strategies and governance structures. He worked for large and medium-sized enterprises from different industries and conducted multiple cooperative research projects with renowned organizations.
Professor Hutzschenreuter has published in leading international journals, including Academy of Management Perspectives, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Journal, and Academy of Management Discoveries.
In 2018, Hutzschenreuter received the Executive Education Award for Teaching Excellence by TUM School of Management. He received the Best Teacher Award from Bucerius Law School and WHU.
