Code of Ethics
Members and non-members participating in Academy of Management activities, including the Annual Meeting, must adhere to AOM’s Code of Ethics.
Annual Meeting Code of Conduct
The Academy of Management (AOM) is committed to fostering a professional, inclusive, and respectful environment at the Annual Meeting and at all AOM events. All participants are required to conduct themselves professionally, adhering to the AOM Code of Ethics and AOM Code of Conduct to ensure an environment in which all individuals feel safe and valued while learning, networking and collaborating.
This Code of Conduct applies to all members, employees, and volunteers of AOM, including but not limited to officers, committee members, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, attendees, guests, and event staff participating in the AOM Annual Meeting and at AOM events. All participants engaged in AOM events shall comply with this Code.
Registration & Attendance Policy
All attendees are required to have an active AOM membership valid through 31 August 2026 and to pay the appropriate registration fee to participate in any capacity at the Annual Meeting.
This includes authors, presenters, panelists, speakers, participants, session moderators, facilitators, discussants, Professional Development Workshop (PDW) leaders, coordinators, award recipients, distinguished speakers, editors, reviewers, board members, organizers, hosts, placement interviewers, catering planners, exhibitors, sponsors, guests, technical and digital support staff, secretaries, treasurers, and all other Division-elected or appointed volunteers. Non-members and former members are welcome to join or renew membership in order to register.
The Annual Meeting registration fee does not include:
- AOM membership or membership renewal
- Fee-Based Sessions — including select PDWs, DIG-hosted events, and the Networking Guest Pass, which require separate registration and payment
You must be registered for the Annual Meeting before adding any Fee-Based Sessions. To learn how to register, please visit our Registering and Attending page.
Attendees are solely responsible for arranging any necessary travel, meals, registration, housing accommodations, and paying the associated fees for each. These fees are additional and the responsibility of all attendees. An active AOM membership valid through the end of the month in which the Annual Meeting takes place is required to register and attend. No sponsorship is implied, and AOM assumes no responsibility for your stay in the host city.
By registering, you agree to abide by AOM’s Annual Meeting Policies and grant permission for AOM to capture and use your photo, audio, or video in association materials, publications, or on the AOM website.
