Division Program Chair: Ivory Simms, Case Western Reserve University, USA
On behalf of the Management Consulting Division (MC), I encourage you to submit your paper, symposia and poster proposals for consideration to the 86th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management to be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Friday, 31st July through Tuesday, 4th August 2026. Please visit the AOM conference site for more information.
Specific Domain
The Management Consulting Division’s (MC) mission is to bridge the gap between theory and practice in all management areas through a pluralistic approach to understanding and applying management knowledge. MC’s purpose is to advance the knowledge and understanding of management consulting through teaching, research, publications, and active consulting practices.
The Division recognizes the multidisciplinary fields related to consulting, including human resources management and management of human potential, organizational behavior, change management, leadership, supply chain management, health care management, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, financial management, project management, risk management, entrepreneurship, education, public policy development and governance, strategy, philanthropy, globalization, and a host of other management fields.
The MC is open to different theoretical and methodological submissions based on quantitative studies, qualitative studies, quantitative-qualitative mixed methods, critical reviews, computational simulation and recommendations establishing new positions. These methods may include correlational, descriptive, quasi-experimental, survey-based, or secondary data studies. They may also have phenomenological studies, action research, ethnography, case study, organizational or institutional reflective narratives, or studies using grounded theory and other methods.

This year’s conference is not theme-specific, which allows us to open our horizons to all scholars, practitioners, and scholar-practitioners. Please visit the MC Call for Submissions website for more information.
