Ethics at AOM: Principles, Policies, and Practices

AOM Ethics Policies
The Academy of Management (AOM) and its members regard ethics as a cornerstone of professional practice. AOM offers a comprehensive framework of guidance through our Code of Ethics, community standards, and educational resources.
Together, these materials help members uphold the highest standards of professional integrity in scholarship, teaching, publishing, and service.
Code of Ethics
AOM’s Code of Ethics provides foundational principles and enforceable standards that guide ethical scholarship, teaching, publishing, and professional conduct.
While AOM expects all members to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct, situations may arise that require additional guidance or review. If you have a question or need to address a concern, the Complaints and Procedures page provides a clear reference on where to turn. In most cases, your first point of contact will be the Ombuds Committee, which offers confidential support and direction.
At AOM, ethics are the foundation of our community. By upholding shared principles, addressing concerns transparently, and providing clear guidance, we ensure that members can engage in scholarship, teaching, publishing, and service with integrity and trust.
