As AOM President, I am genuinely pleased to introduce this new initiative — one that reflects a shared commitment to strengthening teaching and learning across our global community. As professors and academics, we each research different knowledge domains, but we all have teaching in common. That common ground is the foundation of everything we are building here…
Teaching at AOM
The Academy of Management is expanding opportunities to support educators through a growing portfolio of teaching initiatives. These efforts include the Teaching Community, the Teaching Track at the Annual Meeting, a Teaching Resource Library, year-round webinars, and a growing portfolio of teaching-focused events and learning opportunities designed to help educators connect, collaborate, and learn together throughout the year.
AOM is also committed to strengthening and supporting teaching initiatives across its Divisions and Interest Groups, encouraging innovation, collaboration, and the sharing of effective teaching practices throughout the Academy. Together, these efforts reflect AOM’s long-term commitment to advancing teaching and learning.

Division & Interest Group Teaching Initiatives
Across AOM, Divisions and Interest Groups advance teaching and learning through Annual Meeting programming, webinars, educational resources, awards recognizing teaching excellence, and many other initiatives that support management educators.
Building on these strengths, AOM is creating new opportunities for Divisions and Interest Groups to connect with one another, exchange ideas for advancing teaching within their communities, and share successful approaches to programming, engagement, and leadership.
By fostering collaboration, supporting new ideas through initiatives such as the Division and Interest Group Teaching & Learning Innovation Fund, and helping amplify successful teaching initiatives, AOM aims to encourage continued innovation while expanding teaching opportunities and resources for members across the Academy.
Leadership & Volunteers
AOM’s teaching initiatives are guided by the Board of Governors Teaching Committee and made possible through the leadership of volunteers from across the Academy. Together, they help shape programs, support innovation, and strengthen teaching and learning throughout AOM.
