Annual Meeting Waivers
The Academy of Management offers a limited number of complimentary registrations each year to support invited guests, contributors, and partners who would not otherwise attend the Annual Meeting. The resources below outline the two waiver programs administered by AOM—Division and Interest Group (DIG) Waivers and AOM Waivers—including eligibility, how recommendations work, key deadlines, and what candidates can expect during the review process.

DIG Waiver Guide
For Division and Interest Group Officers

- Purpose: Provides one complimentary Annual Meeting registration for invited guests, contributors, or individuals who would not otherwise attend.
- Eligibility: Only non‑members may receive a DIG Waiver; DIG Waivers cannot be used for AOM members. Recommendations may only be made by DIG officers.
- How to Recommend a Candidate: DIG officer emails a written recommendation to the candidate. Candidate submits the 2026 Registration Request Form (DIG Waiver) and uploads the recommendation. Email submissions are not accepted.
- Deadline: Submit by 1 July 2026 17:00 ET (UTC‑4).
- After Submission: Candidate receives registration confirmation within 3–5 business days.
NOTE: No fixed number of waivers per DIG; processed first‑come, first‑served. If candidate already registered, they may request a refund after submitting the form.
- Purpose: Provides one complimentary Annual Meeting registration for invited guests affiliated with Publications, Governance, Marketing, Career Services, or Affiliated and Associated Societies.
- Eligibility: Waivers are for non‑members only and cannot be used as awards. Only AOM staff may recommend a recipient.
- How to Recommend a Candidate: Staff member emails a written recommendation to the candidate. Candidate submits the 2026 Registration Request Form (AOM Waiver) with the uploaded recommendation. Email submissions are not accepted.
- Deadline: Submit by 1 July 2026 17:00 ET (UTC‑4).
- After Submission: Candidate receives registration confirmation within 3–5 business days.
NOTE: Waivers use a shared pool; processed first‑come, first‑served. Recommendation: limit requests to 10–15 per team. If candidate already registered, they may request a refund after submitting the form.
