Awards and Recognition

• Authored books (not edited books or textbooks) published within the preceding two years.
• Judged to have made the most outstanding contribution to the advancement of management theory, conceptualization, research, or practice.

Nominations for the Terry Book Award are currently closed. The nomination period will open in early 2026. Please check back for updates.

1. Nomination Submissions: a George R. Terry Book Award Nomination Form must be completed to register your nomination with the Academy of Management. Nomination forms will be made available during the respective year’s nomination period.
2. Book Submissions: an electronic copy of each nominated book must be sent to the Award Committee for review along with a George R. Terry Book Award Nomination Form. Award judges will not distribute the book files from publishers for award consideration. Hard copies may be requested.
3. Nomination Submission Deadline: the nomination submission deadline will be announced along with the opening of the 2026 George R. Terry Book Award nomination period. Stay tuned for more information.
